The Listening Suite – May 2018 Edition

Well May is here, and it seems that Spring is finally showing up in NYC. I’m grateful to have been able to bring you another episode of The Listening Suite – my third episode after a very long hiatus. I’m going to try very hard to come back strong and bring y’all some good music.

The last few weeks have been rather stressful and as usual, when stressed and overwhelmed, I turn to music. My intro tells you that you might hear ANYTHING in the Listening Suite, so be prepared to hear some mellow tunes, mostly jazz and R & B. I failed to mention in the podcast that all of these tracks are from my personal collection. These are the songs that have gotten me through some moments where I just needed to relax and chill – whether while I was in college, or after a rough day at work. I hope that you can find the same mellow place I’ve found in these songs.

Just a heads up – there’s some new music from my friends at AfterSix Productions that is scheduled for a May 15 release. I’d like to feature it on TLS, so there’s a good chance there will be another B Side episode coming out later in May…stay tuned!

Until then, listen to the May 2018 episode below, followed by our playlist. And by the way,  a special shout out to my man MrFresh, who is providing the new bed to The Listening Suite intro and voiceovers – my favorite track from his solo release Halcyon Sky, Santhera.

Thanks to Felicia Hodges of Tigerlily Communications and MrFresh for providing the station ID drops.
